Enhancement/Change:

UI/UX:
  • Updated theme... color palette, icons, and new sign-in screen
  • New use of transitions for warnings and some notifications
  • Major overhaul of file and contact information pop-up screens
  • New context menu to access matter/contact information from anywhere
  • New tooltip engine; no longer covers useful information on grids
  • (Chrome Only) Grid cell auto-selected as you hover over cell
  • Ability to launch email, phone, or website from within various screens
  • Ability to copy address blocks from most screens, name included
Invoicing:
  • New tokens available
  • Approve and Release screens can now create PDFs in either "Draft" for "Finalized" format... Finalized format will allow you to review what will be shown to clients
  • Automatic creation of payables by Percentage now shows Hours as a notation
  • (CANADA) default cheque templates updated to fit windowed enveleoped better
  • Contact Covers now tests for multiple invoices using the same invoice number... If all use the name, the _INVOICE_NUMBER_ token will be active
  • Name of email attachment renamed to start with "invoice" (was: "statement")
  • Moved options into an auto-complete box to provide more screen for viewing
  • Added Settlement Statement... Available via Request Invoice screen with file entered
Reports:
  • Major redesign of how to request and export views
  • Excel export will now use friendly names if available, and sort columns by type + name
  • Client Ledger - New Period Expense view added

  • Many third-party packages updated
  • Reworked access to security layer to support multiple data centers
  • Combined several JavaScript files to improve loading of site
  • Ability to specify currency symbol (i.e. replace $ with €)
  • (CANADA) Link to our preferred cheque-printing vendor added
Miscellaneous:
  • Favourites: Configured via User Settings... available via new context menu
  • Excel: More "footer" detail omitted in many situations
  • User preference added to control the default context menu
  • Extended the number of character allowed for Referral Source
  • Operating In: Invoice pop-up list is now sortable
  • Bank Rec: minor UI improvements
  • Time Entry: ability to hide activity code column
  • Financials: PL - Clicking on YTD column will drill down to detailed GL with YTD date range
  • Time Listing: added alternate layout for when there is only one summary
  • Settlement Statement: will use bill display called "settlement" if it is available
  • Removed auto-focus in grid feature
  • Support for custom short and long date formats (Has to be configured by support!)

Fixes:

  • New pop-ups showing/hiding properly
  • Hitting ESC now closes windows in the correct order
  • Static lists now immediately reflect edited changes
  • PDFs no longer corrupted if merged multiple times during large release invoices
  • User Delete option has been removed to preserve reporting information. Call support if needed.
  • Casefile balances may not reflect operating retainer balances if last banking transaction was a refund or transfer to another file
  • Invoicing: Select Charges -- restricted receipts-up-to date to be no later than the invoice date
  • Reports: entry number was showing invalid in some scenarios
  • Memory leak in controls that may cause slowdown over time
  • Batch Check Printing may product console error if no bank account was selected on load
  • Opening Rate Group History caused and error
  • Client Ledger: restriction that expenses would be hidden for vendors when user didn't have access to vendors was removed
  • Excel was removing page header fields during output
